Panel looks at designing 2026 Olympic bid

A panel of experts will discuss Tuesday how to design a bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
They will consider factors such as ways to improve the lives of local residents, civic engagement and pride, economic growth, social well-being, sport participation, and more.
The panel consists of 2016 Olympic gold medallist Erica Wiebe, Councillor Druh Farrell, Dr. Roger Jackson with the University of Calgary, Dr. David Legg from Mount Royal University, and the President and CEO of WinSport Barry Heck.
The event takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the University of Calgary’s MacEwan Hall.
