International activist Anote Tong is calling on Canadians to take action in working against global climate change.

Tong will have the opportunity to send this message in person in Calgary next spring, when he accepts Mount Royal University’s Calgary Peace Prize. The environmental advocate was the former president of the Pacific Island nation of Kiribati from 2003 to 2016.
