How did Kirby Morrow die? Internet pays tribute to 47-year-old ‘Dragonball Z’ actor: ‘You changed my childhood’

Famous Canadian actor and voice-over sensation, Kirby Morrow has died on November 19 at the age of 47. His cause of death has not been made official until now. Morrow who is best remembered for ‘Dragonball Z’ and ‘Stargate: Atlantis’ had his brother, Casey, announce his demise in a Facebook post. Casey Morrow reportedly wrote, “Kirby was a blessed and talented individual who brought joy to so many but also thrived off all your love and friendship. He lived for it and it fueled him every day.” One of Kirby’s friends, Jerry Cates, also wrote about his demise in a Facebook post. Cates wrote, “You will be missed, my friend.”

Morrow is one of the celebrated actors and voice-over artists – he essayed the character of Captain Davis Kleinman on ‘Stargate: Atlantis’. The late actor's last public appearances came in a 'Stargate' fans virtual convention that was held in June 2020. Going by Morrow’s Facebook page, the multitalented personality had been living in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the time of his death. However, his IMDb profile states that the actor who’s an expert on animation voice-overs was a native of Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Morrow had got primary training in Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, and has been a top student at the time of his graduate studies as per IMDb. 

Morrow’s trademark is listed as “Uses his natural speaking voice to voice all of his characters.”In his filmography career, Morrow’s most recent works included a voiceover role of Miroku on the animation series ‘Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon’. The actor was recast in the role as announced on November 3, 2020, by VIZ Media.
 
A look back at his past oeuvre of work shows that Morrow appeared in over 47 episodes of the action animation series ‘Ninjago’. He had also shown up in two episodes of the sci-fi television series ‘The Outer Limites’ and lent his voice for the remarkable character of Michelangelo in the famous ‘Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation’. 
 
The actor’s great canyon of work encompasses over 200 credits, as reported by Heavy, which cited IMDb. The actor who is has gained fame and fortune for his voice over’s once uttered in a 2009 interview with Gateworld that he enjoyed voiceover work because “You can wear what you want, and there’s no heavy lifting. So, it’s a pretty fun job to go in, sit in a studio with people, and just be really animated.”

Now as he passed away, the Internet has poured in wishes for him to rest in peace. A user wrote, “In Loving Memory of Kirby Morrow 1973-2020.” Another concurred, “Rest In Peace Kirby Morrow. Cole has been my favorite Ninja for so long. His character was practically the figurehead of my series for so long. Rest In Peace Legend.” A fan remembered his memorable roles, “Kirby Morrow, I can’t even describe how much you’ve changed my childhood. Thank you for all the voices you’ve provided for the characters we love. Rest In Peace, Kirby.” Another wrote on his past roles, “Kirby Morrow had that voice that stuck with me for years.
