CANADIAN UTILITIES LIMITED APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR

Canadian Utilities Ltd. has appointed Alex Pourbaix to the company's board of directors, effective Nov. 1, 2019.

Mr. Pourbaix is president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Cenovus Energy. Prior to Cenovus, he held a broad range of leadership roles, including chief operating officer with TransCanada Corp. He is also vice-chairman of the board of governors at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, board chair at Mount Royal University and a member of the Business Council of Alberta.

With 5,000 employees and assets of $22-billion, Canadian Utilities is an Atco company.
