Goaltender Jackson Unger has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the Moose Jaw Warriors. The Warriors third-round pick in 2020, Unger was able to get into two games with Edge School U18 Prep this season. He sported a 2-0-0 record, a 1.00 goals-against average, and a .935 save percentage.

Winnipeg ICE forward Chase Bertholet scored his first WHL goal at 2:15 of the first period as the ICE took a 6-1 lead over the Regina Pats. The ICE went on to win 8-3. Bertholet, a 2018 fifth-round pick of the Red Deer Rebels, was traded to the ICE in a deal that saw Cameron Hausinger and Brett Davis head to Red Deer for a package of players and draft picks on November 30, 2018. Bertholet was playing in his 14th WHL contest.

Forward Reese Johnson (187GP, 55G, 45A with Red Deer ’14-’19) and defenceman Madison Bowey (259GP, 58G, 114A with Kelowna ’10-’15) have been reassigned to the Chicago Blackhawks taxi squad from the Rockford IceHogs. Johnson has played five games with the NHL club and has yet to register a point. While with the IceHogs for six games, Johnson has two goals and three assists. Bowey has played in two games for the Blackhawks this season, registering an assist. He has also played in two games with the IceHogs and he remains without a point.
Forward John Quenneville (222GP, 81G, 116A with Brandon ’12-’16) was assigned to the IceHogs from the Blackhawks taxi squad. In 11 games with the IceHogs, Quenneville has one goal and one assist. He has yet to play in the NHL this season.
Maple Leafs make roster moves
Defenceman Mac Hollowell, defenceman Kristians Rubins and forward Scott Sabourin have been reassigned to the @MapleLeafs taxi squad.

Defenceman Kristians Rubins (109GP, 10G, 41A with Medicine Hat ’16-’18) has been assigned to the Toronto Maple Leafs taxi squad from the Toronto Marlies. Rubins was a first-round pick (16th overall) of the Medicine Hat Tigers at the 2016 CHL Import Draft. Rubins was a free agent signee of the Maple Leafs on April 1, 2020. Rubins has not yet hit the ice with the Maple Leafs this season but has played 16 games with the Marlies, registering a goal and two assists.
Forward Nic Petan (252GP, 110G, 248A with Portland ’10-’15) has been reassigned by the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Toronto Marlies. Petan is a former second-round pick of the Winnipeg Jets in 2013. He was a 2012-13 Ed Chynoweth Cup champion with the Winterhawks after being drafted 16th overall at the 2010 WHL Draft by the team. This season with the Maple Leafs, Petan has one assist in seven games, while with the Marlies for two games he has two goals and an assist.

Defenceman Jesse Lees (294GP, 55G, 107A with Kelowna and Prince Albert ’10-’16) has been acquired by the Wheeling Nailers from the South Carolina Stingrays for future considerations. Lees is in his third season in the ECHL. This season with the Stingrays, Lees had one goal and four assists through 18 games. Lees attended four years of school at Mount Royal University. Lees is a former first-round pick of the Kelowna Rockets in 2010.
