Cara Medvedic; Bishop Carroll High School

After graduating from Bishop Carroll, I will be attending Mount Royal University this fall to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in biology. My passion is learning about the human body, so my future goal is to attend medical school. Currently, I am interested in a career as a plastic surgeon or a fertility specialist.

I’m graduating from Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School and heading to post-secondary to pursue a career in the automotive industry, since I am passionate about cars and trucks!  My hopes for the future include a fulfilling career, love, friendship and family, horses and trucks! Congrats to all 2020 grads and peace to all.

As we all go through this daily uncertainty, I know that we all have hopes and wishes for the future. Talking with my friends, we’ve hoped to plan our own camping trip and walk across our porches together, with makeshift caps and gowns.

We are more than just the graduating class of the pandemic — we made petitions and fought to be something else. I hope that together, we can all remember (students, family and more) that we were able to find and do more during our isolation. My hope is that one day these celebrations will be more than just a moment passing and we stop taking such normal things for granted. Anything can change in a blink of an eye and we should always be appreciative of what we have, even if high school felt like a chore more than anything else.
Happy graduation to all 2020 seniors!

Jordyn Pratt; Lord Beaverbrook High School

I am looking forward to heading off to St. Francis Xavier University this August in order to begin my studies to eventually become involved in the field of psychology. My plan at this time is to eventually be in a position to own and operate a therapeutic facility using animals (specifically horses) as an aid to help traumatized children and possibly adults to assist in managing and overcoming their difficulties. I want to say thank you to those teachers who have influenced me and made a special impact during my education so far. I am also very thankful to be a recipient of a soccer scholarship from St. FX and want to diligently pursue my development as an elite goalkeeper with my new team there. I am so excited to be starting this new journey of discovery and learning!

I am very excited about pursuing medicine and becoming a family physician or pediatrician. This coming fall, I will be attending the University of Calgary for biomedical sciences. Beyond academics, I am excited to continue to travel the world and experience new cultures and geographies. I would like to thank all of my family, friends, and instructors who have supported me throughout my life and shaped my world.
