CALGARY (660 NEWS)– A Calgary man is receiving the highest symbol of recognition from Mount Royal University.
Murray McCann, best known for the Field of Cross and 11 Days of Remembrance memorializing soldiers from southern Alberta, will receive an honorary Bachelor of Nursing Degree.
“You can’t walk through and read those crosses without being aware that this great city– which is just across the river from the crosses– there was a big price paid and we need to remember, we can never forget,” said McCann.
He adds the degree is extra special because his late wife of 38 years was a registered nurse.
