Olds College is pleased to announce Connie Young has been selected as the new Vice President of Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a member of the executive team, Young will oversee the areas of Business Services and Finance, Information Technology and Facilities Operations, which includes maintenance, capital projects and aspects of campus housing and food services.
"We are thrilled that Connie Young has accepted the role of Vice President, Corporate Services and CFO," said Stuart Cullum, Olds College President. "As Olds College continues to grow and contribute to Alberta's economic future through relevant academic and applied research programming, I believe that Connie will be a strong leader for our financial, business and operational activities."
Young will be joining Olds College after serving as Associate Vice President, Finance and Commercial Operations at Mount Royal University. She brings with her 16 years of experience working in higher education where she has led financial, audit, risk and commercial operations portfolios.
"I am delighted to be joining the executive team and community at Olds College," remarks Young. "The College has a long history of innovation, and is leading impactful advancements in agriculture and academic programming. I am honoured to be part of this exciting time at Olds College."
Young holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Athabasca University as well as a CPA and CGA designations. She will begin her new role at Olds College on September 20, 2021.
