WBB: Cougars fall to Pandas in home opener

CALGARY, AB – The University of Alberta Pandas took down the MRU Cougars women’s basketball team 61-38 during Friday night’s game at Kenyon Court. The Pandas were dominant right from the tip on both ends of the floor. Mount Royal only managed to register their first field goal make with 1:50 left in the opening quarter. MRU pushed back in the second quarter. Forward Tanis Metcalfe hit a trio of midrange jumpers to keep the Cougars close behind Alberta.
